Western songwriter/guitarist born in 1924 in Paris, TX. He died March 27, 1975. He and Thompson founded Texoma Music and the Brazos Valley Publishing Company's. He became the leader of Hank Thompson's 'Brazos Valley Boys' in the early to mid 1950's
Often miscredited for co-writing the 1960 hit song "Chills And Fever" written by Bobby Rackep and Bill Ness because he also co-wrote a song by the same name recorded by Hank Thompson in 1952.
