| | Dutch boyband active from 1988 to 1990, created by Creators International. Bam to Bam Bam was a continuation from Fritsh (1985-1988) where Marcel Hoekstra and René Klijn were the only surviving members. Bam To Bam Bam were one of the Dutch pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1989, which they did not win.
Their debut song ‘Like a Locomotion’, which was a cover of the 1973 version by Left Side, written by Peter Koelewijn, became Tip 10 in the Dutch Tipparade. Any of the following singles failed to gain any success. Eventually, the group lost interest and it was then decided to disband.
Bam to Bam Bam consisted of:
Marcel Hoekstra (Cello*), René Klijn (Dorian*), Frank Gielen, Erick Verhagen, Rick Bolderman, Kris Krijnen (Kriz*) and Dennis Van Maaren - van Schie.
A well-known band member was René Klijn, who died in 1993 from the effects of AIDS.
