She is a visionary and passionate performer, her melodies are beautiful and mesmerising, her voice is at the same time dreamy and gloomy. Siberian Dream Map is her new album, released for On the Camper Records on june 2011. Each song is a world in which she makes you enter from the very first time you listen to it. Together with her singing and playing electric guitar, a full-bodied cello, bass a nd drums. Francesca Lago started playing the piano as a child and the guitar at the age of 14. The first performance took place shortly after. She released her first record with the garage punk band The Wrongside, her first solo album was published by Edel in 1997 and had the legendary Marc Ribot on guitars. After the tour supporting the album she retired for some years and she came back in 2009 with The Unicorn published by On the Camper Records. She has been ranked twice semi-finalist at the UK Songwriting Contest: with song 'Black Thoughts' in 2009 and with 'On my way back from the moon' in 2011. To support the release of Siberian Dream Map she is on tour with great cello player Zeno Gabaglio and drummer Fabio Giangrande. Francesca's songs offer the perfect ground for Zeno's furious and unique cello playing. They have been since now playing in Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, Austria and England. Besides her songwriting, she is an author for other pop productions. She made a guest appearance on Peter Kernel's 'Il pomeriggio non si sa mai bene cosa fare'(On the Camper Records) and on Tim McMillan's 'Angel' (T3 Records).
