American singer, brother of Luther Perkins. After his singing career ended, be became a producer & studio engineer in Nashville and the surrounding Music City area. Born 22 July 1940 in Batesville, Mississippi, US; died in a car accident 15 August 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee.
