His wife Betty Jean Crisp who he married in 1965 passed away in 2017.[1][2] Syl Grigsby joined The Latin Knights in the late 1950s. He along with Alex Pilkington and Will Johnson, replaced members Manuel Cisneros, Alfi Quintero and Joe Moreno who had left the group in the Summer of 1957. Along with founders Ray (Raymond A. Grigsby maintained his association with the group throughout the years with all of the line up changes. In 2007, Grigsby and Baradat appeared at an oldies show in Anaheim, California. This was a benefit concert for Rose Hamlin (Rosie & The Originals). In 2008, they were invited to perform at a Mark del Costello promoted oldies concert in Burlington, New Jersey.[3] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References *[1] Charades website, Band Bios http://www.charademusic.com/BIOS.html *[2] Legacy.com ,Betty Grigsby Obituary (1944 - 2017) - https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/visaliatimesdelta/obituary.aspx?n=betty-jean-grigsby&pid=184490960&fhid=20247 *[3] The Charades website, Charades History
