Known as "The Guy WIth The Goods," Georgie Woods was a top soul and r&b disc jockey in Philadelphia between 1953 and the late 1970's alternating between stints on WHAT and WDAS. He also hosted television shows and was political active. Born in Georgia on May 11, 1927. He passed on June 18, 2005.
