Exorcist

Exorcist is a speed metal "band" from Long Island, New York, USA, that was "formed" in 1986. Indeed, Exorcist was actually another metalploitation band made in the studio by Zoran Busic, the manager of the record company Cobra. According to David DeFeis all the music was written by him and Edward Pursino and the "band" actually consisted of himself (vocals; pseudonyms: Damien Rath (vocals), "The Lion" (producer)), Edward Pursino (guitars; pseudonym: Mark Dorian) and Mark Edwards (drums; pseudonym: Geoff Fontaine). The bass parts were played by DeFeis, Pursino and Joe O'Reilly (pseudonym: Jamie Locke), because the musician, who originally was supposed to sing and play bass guitar, refused to do that one day before entering the studio. The record company Cobra put out more "bands" and releases this way. Three other projects of that kind were Piledriver and Original Sin, in which David DeFeis and Edward Pursino were also involved, as well as Convict. Supposedly there was a second Exorcist LP composed in 1987, however it was never released, and nothing is known regarding its existence. So in fact, Exorcist consisted mostly of band members from Virgin Steele, except of drummer Edwards, who was also briefly in Jack Starr's Burning Starr.

Members: David DeFeis, Edward Pursino, Joe O' Reilly, Mark Edwards
