Review Mingus cited this 1972 big band set, a collaboration with producer Teo Macero, as his favorite. He finally got to work with a vast array of top production, arranging and playing talent, including James Moody, Hubert Laws, Sir Roland Hannah and fellow bassists Milt Hinton and Ron Carter. A brilliant, original set that illustrates the composer's love of Duke Ellington.
