With the aid of urbane contemporary fiction, my love of doleful, literate indie rock has oft dictated the course of my life. 3,000 days since last I owned a physical album, it's time for an end to my total reliance on MP3/FLAC. I've returned to audiophilia: I'd pined for the days when spinning an album was a meditative aesthetic ordeal: the inky fetor of a new release, ample graphic space, &c. Besides, vinyl goes better with scotch and vicodin.
