| Despite the presence of Ginger Baker on drums, L.A.'s Masters of Reality never received much recognition outside of the circle of critics that championed them. Not quite as heavy as their Black Sabbath-inspired name would seem to indicate, the band's true metier was fast, hard Electric Blues. Frontman Chris Goss' smooth, gentle-giant vocals exude level-headed intensity, while his guitar playing is nothing short of phenomenal.
