Founded by Lo-Fi enthusiasts Lou Barlow (Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr.) and songwriter John Davis, the Folk Implosion found mainstream acceptance with their song-oriented soundtrack contributions to Larry Clark's 1995 film Kids.
