In the 1980s Corey Hart had two major hits: "Sunglasses At Night" was a New Wave-y pop rock song, and "Never Surrender" was a dramatic slow-dance/couple-skate staple. Hart sang with an urgent, exaggerated enunciation that gave him a rather distinctive style. He continued to put out records into the '90s, but never really made it back onto the charts after "Never Surrender" finally faded.
