Wakefield Maryland-based punk-pop act Wakefield has been together since 2000, formed out of the ashes of a cover band called Soar. Drummer Aaron Escolopio also put in some time with Good Charlotte. The band was signed to Arista before they got out of high school. They play a sharp-edged hybrid of punk-pop and post-grunge with a heavy Green Day influence.
