Porno for Pyros Porno for Pyros saw Perry Farrell reining in the sonic excesses of Jane's Addiction for succinct pop that brought to the fore his unique vocal style and coupled it with a variety of lightly psychedelic touches. Exotic rhythms from ex-Jane's drummer Stephen Perkins added spice to the swirling "Tahitian Moon," while the Pyros' biggest hit "Pets" (1993) relied on more of a laid-back campfire groove with flared guitars. Nothing they've done thus far could ever allay the Jane's Addiction purist, but listened to with an open mind, the songs of Porno for Pyros are hard to dislike.
