Longtime friends, they paid their dues performing in various "garage" clubs before scoring a hit with their debut single "Why." The group's first LP, Lickin' On Both Sides, went double platinum on the strength of four Top-10 singles and it earned them various awards and accolades from the British press. After touring extensively and performing at Buckingham Palace, they released another hit single, the slickly-produced pop anthem "Scandalous," in 2003.
