This band is made up of veterans of several high-profile Bluegrass bands, including Alison Krauss & Union Station and the Cox Family. They play straight-ahead Bluegrass and make some forays into country music; the instrumental work is frankly mind-boggling. The band can play at unearthly tempos and still retain a sense of subtlety and melodic invention. The singing is also exceedingly strong, even outshining the instrumental work with richly layered harmonies and soulful leads.
