Indeed, Chely Wright's music is produced in Music City, and yes, her songs are slicker than a paint job on a new Saturn. Imagine your basic Top 40 or Triple-A marketing-calculated radio hit, dressed up with glossy twang from a computer-enhanced pedal steel and other pseudo-rootsy sounds, and topped off with a slightly nasal-toned, Sheryl Crow-esque singer with obvious vocal training.
