Pretty much everyone in the group had cut their teeth playing in hardcore bands, a fact that certainly explains the high praise their cathartic live shows garnered in the years leading up the release of their debut album in 2003. Take This To Your Grave came out on the tiny Fueled By Ramen label but the band was eventually signed by Island Records and sent out on a 280 day tour.
