| American musician, born 21 March 1944 in San Marino, California, USA.
Lindley was an original member of the psychedelic-folk group "Kaleidoscope" (1966-70). After Kaleidoscope, he became a session and live musician with artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, & Curtis Mayfield, amongst others. He also formed his own band called "El Rayo-X". Being a multi-instrumentalist, Lindley is noted for his vast array string instruments, including: the acoustic & electric guitar, upright & electric bass guitar, banjo, lap steel guitar, mandolin, hardingfele, bouzouki, cittern, bağlama, gumbus, charango, cümbüş, oud, weissenborn, and zither.
