From the moment Bill Evans' glacial piano intro to "Alone Together" kicks in you know this is going to be special. The best of Baker's Riverside sessions, this loose but intensely focused ballad set was recorded with such East Coast jazz stars as Evans, Kenny Burrell, Herbie Mann, Pepper Adams, Paul Chambers and Connie Kay & Philly Joe Jones (who divide drum duties).
