Lupri is a German-born, Boston-based vibraphonist influenced by Gary Burton. He leads a Post Bop quartet with a vibes/saxophone/bass/drums lineup; they tend toward the mainstream side of things while maintaining a loose, airy sound that works well. Though still developing, Lupri is already an interesting soloist, and having sidemen such as tenor/soprano saxman George Garzone on his records certainly doesn't hurt.
