Acrophet was an American thrash metal band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, formed in 1986 by Jason Mooney. The band released two albums through Triple X Records ("Corrupt Minds" in the autumn of 1988 and "Faded Glory" in April 1990) before calling it quits.
Drummer Jason Mooney auditioned twice for Slayer and made the finals in 1996 and 2003. He also auditioned for Sacred Reich in 1995 and Edel America recording artists Killing Culture.
