New & used vinyl specialist
Plastic Records first opened it's doors in April
2002. The St Albans shop was very well received
being the only true independent record store in
the area, often described by customers as a "Soho
store in the suburbs!"
The growth of online shopping and digital,
combined with rising high street rents made it
increasingly difficult for a shop like ours to
survive in a small town such as St Albans. In 2006
we closed the shop.
Since then "we" became "I" and I have been
intermittently trading markets & record fairs
around the UK. I now run Plastic Records as a part
time concern, but continue to offer a fast,
friendly and knowledgeable service. I hope to
launch a new online boutique store in the not too
distant future selling anything from minimal wave
obscurities to foot stompin titty shakers and
block busting beatdown! Watch this space..
