French artist, born January 17, 1944 in Paris. She began her career at 18 in 1962 with a first appearance on French TV. She was immediately successful and became an icon of the "yéyé" period in France but soon developed her own peculiar style. She sings mainly in French but also in English, German and Italian. She did tour during the first six years of her career and then retired to continue writing, composing and singing with various composers and musicians. Married the French singer Jacques Dutronc in 1981.
