| | All Hours were formed in Hollywood, Calif., by a group of pop-rock and film enthusiasts. Their strong debut album, In Flagrante Delicto, shows that they pay special attention to upper-echelon 1970s acts like Hunky Dory-era David Bowie, T. Rex, and Madman Across the Water-era Elton John. (Having a special affinity for the glam era, they also covered Lou Reed's entire Transformer album in concert.) All Hours mix all of these influences into their own style, crafting highly melodic, hook-filled tunes that recall rock's glory days while dealing with our own twisted, media-obsessed culture in fresh ways. |
