After the release of their first 7" single in 2006, PAS CHIC CHIC quickly gained the reputation as one of Canada's brightest new acts and found themselves embraced worldwide despite their lyrics being in French. The band's lineup features former members of GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR, SET FIRE TO FLAMES, and FLY PAN AM and sees them venturing in new directions previously unexplored in their rich musical past. Their debut album "Au Contraire" was released in Canada on the 50th anniversary of the BBC founding the Radiophonic Workshop that had been created for the purpose of experimenting with new ways of using electronics to create new forms of music. PAS CHIC CHIC continues this legacy where the BBC left off. The latest offering from the quartet comes in the form of a two song, twelve-inch vinyl EP aptly titled 12". The 8 minute long "Allez vous faire influencer" and its motorik rhythm is a gracious nod to NEU!, while the 16 minute long epic "Premier Souffle" explores the confines of electronic rock, building on the legacy of 1970s underground German and French artists such as HARMONIA, TANGERINE DREAM, KRAFTWERK, HELDON and LARD FREE. This is pop music with one foot in the past and the other way into the distant future. |

Return Policy
- Items that are lost in the mail or never show up will be resend in case there's more stock, otherwise will be credited.
- We always pack very well so packages that are damaged in transit should be refused at the door, otherwise the risk of a damaged article is for buyer. In special cases a deal can be made for a possible discount on a future order.
- Buyers who order the wrong item and wish to return is no problem, return costs are for buyer, upon receipt of the return a creditnote will be issued
- If we make an error and send the wrong item it can be returned on our costs but first contact us about it
Seller Information
After receipt of an order we pack it and buyer gets an invoice by e-mail. When buyer gives an OK to proceed we charge buyer's card, or request a paypal payment. When payments is ok, package get's shipped the next workday.
