Grading: We use the seven standard condition categories and we describe what each one means below. As with our books these gradings are well known and accepted in the second-hand and collectors market world wide. As far as possible we only list records of excellent condition or above. If no condition is shown you can assume the records are in excellent condition or better. Mint (m). The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any other extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet, or poster are in perfect condition. Records listed as sealed or unplayed are mint. Excellent (ex). The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and extra items may have slight wear or creasing. Very good (vg). The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good (g). The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding scuffing of the edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. Fair (f). The record is just still playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise and it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained, or defaced. Poor (p). The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. The cover and its contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Bad (b). The record is unplayable and may even be broken. It is only useful as a collection filler. All our compact discs are in mint condition. Any faults on digipaks and card covers will be graded in the same way as record covers
