Return Policy

All merchandise is guaranteed to be in the condition stated. If an item is “new” that means we guarantee it against manufacturer defects. For all used product, check out our grading system page for complete definitions of our grading. If you need more specific information on a certain item, please contact us.
Gatefold Records will only accept returns on merchandise under the following conditions:
Defective- If an item is defective it may be exchanged for another copy of the same item only. If another copy is not available, we will credit your account for the full amount to be used on any other purchase or issue a refund.
Shipping Damage- All merchandise is packed in well padded LP mailers, boxes & jiffy packs. In the event that severe damage has been caused during shipping (broken records, broken CDs, warped records) it may be exchanged for another copy of the same item. If another copy is not available, we will credit your account for the full amount to be used on any other purchase or issue a refund
Please know that no matter how well we pack them, minimal damage, such as slightly bent corners on vinyl jackets, cracks in CD jewel cases or inserts, may occur during shipping. While we can’t accept these as returns, we can try to help in whatever way we can, such as sending you a replacement jewel case with your next order.
Please be sure and contact us before sending any returns to get a return authorization (RA) number at 818-888-4071. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Seller Information

**NEW SERVICE**
If you are buying vinyl, we can now include a vinyl to CD backup copy of it on CD (for personal use only) with your purchase. Cost for a 7" record is $10, 12" single is $15, and full length LP is $25 per LP. There will be no additional shipping charge. Please let us know if you are interested.

Email orders- If you send your order via email, be sure to send all necessary information such as your full name, mailing address and phone number. Please include as much information as possible about what you are ordering to insure you receive the correct items. If you are sending a check or money order, wait for a confirmation email before sending payment.
Phone Orders- To place an order by phone, please call 818-888-4071. Our hours are Monday-Friday 11am-5pm Pacific Time (2pm-8pm Eastern Time). If you get our voicemail please leave a message with your full name & phone number and someone will return your call promptly.
Fax Orders- You can fax your order anytime to 818-888-4023. Please include as much information as possible about what you are ordering to insure you receive the correct items. If you are sending a check or money order, wait for a confirmation email before sending payment.
Payment Options
Visa, MasterCard & Discover-
“Secure Credit Card Entry” will send your credit card information with your order using our secure server (SSL). If you choose this option, please be sure to put your actual billing address under “billing address”, you will still have the option to enter a different shipping address on another screen.
“Credit Card Via Fax/Phone” can be used if you don’t want to send your information on-line. If you choose this option, you will receive instructions on how to pay, including the fax & phone numbers, in your confirmation email.
Check or Money Order
We only accept checks in US dollars drawn on US banks. If you choose this option, you will receive instructions on how to pay, including our mailing address, in your confirmation email. Please note that if you send a check, your order will be held for 3 weeks to allow time for the check to clear. If for some reason an item is out of stock, you will be sent a refund check for that amount along with the rest of your order.
International Money Order
We only accept International Money Orders in US dollars, and they must be drawn on a US bank listing a US address on the money order. Many countries have American Express or Western Union offices that can issue these money orders. If you choose this option, you will receive instructions on how to pay, including our mailing address, in your confirmation email. If for some reason an item is out of stock, your account will be issued a credit for that amount that can be used anytime.
I’ve placed my order, when will it be shipped?
We process orders all throughout the day Monday-Friday. We like to get your orders out as soon as possible so most orders are processed within 24 hours of when we receive payment. The more complete you are with your order, the faster we can get it to you. If you pay by check, your order will be held for 10 days to allow time for the check to clear.
*Please note all California residents will be charged 8.25% sales tax. The Golden State wants it’s cut.
