Conditions and Grading
Condition listed as media/cover in CD's description. e.g. Ex/NM is a CD in excellent condition, cover near mint condition.
M: In perfect condition with no audible or visible defects whatsoever. Exactly as brand new.
NM: Almost mint but has one or two minor visible marks on the cover/sleeve or surface with sound quality remaining perfect.
Ex+ = Excellent+: Not quite perfect but better than average condition. CD has a small number of visible marks on surface with sound quality remaining perfect.
Ex = Excellent: Average condition for a CD. Has visible marks on surface with sound quality remaining perfect. The cover/sleeve has slight wear.
VG = Very Good: Less than average condition. The surface and cover/sleeve shows visible signs of wear due to the fact that it has been played on a regular basis. i.e. normal wear and tear. Sound quality remains perfect.
G = Good: The sound quality has deteriorated due to having been played often. one or more tracks may skip. The cover/sleeve and surface will show considerable signs of wear and tear with some possible damage. "Good" actually means "trashed" in collector circles!
F = Fair: Has been neglected, but is still playable. There will be major audible defects such as loud clicks or jumping. The cover/sleeve maybe badly damaged.
P = Poor: Technically playable, but with serious deterioration in condition and sound quality. The cover/sleeve will be badly damaged.
IMPORTANT: Due to the sheer quantity of CDs we list, we grade most CDs visually. However, if there are any noticable marks on a CD, we normally ensure that it plays properly before listing it.
Most CDs we sell are in excellent or better condition. All are genuine original items, we NEVER sell bootlegs, counterfeits or home made CDR copies.
CD cases are not graded but replaced if damaged e.g. cracked, shop labels that are not easily removed.
