Grading:
NOTE: A grading scale is only to be used to five a general description of the vinyl and is only the opinion of the person grading that vinyl. I use a scale but will also try to give a detailed description of both the vinyl and the cover so that you will know what I see and why I graded the way I did. This process is very slow, but I feel it is worth it to you as a buyer.
10 POINT GRADING SCALE EXPLAINED
10 - Factory Sealed, never been opened
9 - Opened but shows no evidence of ever being played, this vinyl's only flaws are the results of manufacturing.
8 - Shows minimal usage, there may be very light spindle scuffs on the labels, there are no stickers or names written on the labels. Vinyl may have a few very faint sleeve scuffs.
7 - Shows signs of use, retains at least 90% of the shine, scuffing is more noticeable but still very light. These scuffs are not deep enough to create much distortion, if any.
6 - Shows signs of frequent use, grayness is becoming more noticeable, scuffing is more pronounced, light needle scratches may be evident. The sound quality is going to be distorted but should not interfere with listening enjoyment.
5 - Shows heavy use, scuffing is heavy and likely to produce noticeable distortion. Needle scratches are deeper and more likely to produce popping. By no means is this record pretty to look at but it will still produce reasonably good sound.
4 - Shows extreme use has heavy scuffing and possible scratches from mishandling. This record should play through but will produce very noticeable distortion. I recommend this record only be used to fill a void in your collection and should be replaced when a better one becomes available.
3 - Time to get creative. Use this record for a template for making perfect 12 inch tortilla shells or maybe you can cut the center out and place a small bowl of dressing in the center and use it as a veggie tray at parties. 45s in this condition make excellent individual snack trays.
2 - Do you have a neighbor who has too many parties and keeps you up all night? It's time to get even, with the scratches on this record it will repeat the same few words over and over for hours. If you get several of these and more turn tables you could probably get them to repeat an entire conversation.
1 - Complete waste of time to try to break this one because most likely it all ready is broken.
