When I was in Missouri i found some charlie daniels band records (a COUNTRY fiddler just in case someone may not know). I bought 2 of them and spent about 5 bucks. The listening quality is GREAT for anyone thats wondering lol, and one is actually a promotional copy of the album "Full Moon". It was only 2 bucks!! I can't pass up unfamiliar music for 2 DOLLARS!! individual songs cost almost that much these days, not a WHOLE album!! AND its vinyl!! lol, onto the blues though. As I was writing my last post not even 10 minutes ago, i was listening to one of these new albums i bought. It's from 1976 and the album name is "Saddle Tramp". If anyone out there likes B.B. King i guess? Maybe B.B.'s song lucille?? This song has that jive to it. The first 20 seconds or so doesn't sound anything like blues at all so dont let it fool ya. But once it kicks in, it cooks with hot grease I can promise ya. So blues fans out there wanting to branch out with your listening pleasure, check out "The Charlie Daniels Band - It's My Life" on the album "Saddle Tramp". Y'alls friend, BluegrassPicker
Well, BluegrassPicker,I would say that you got yourself two good CDB records. I've been a fan for a long time. I really like Charlie's ability to blend jazz and blues with his country music. I've seen him perform twice and he is a great entertainer. Pretty darn good on the guitar too.
"It's My Life" is one of my favorite songs by them. I bought Saddle Tramp around the time it was released and it blew me away the first time I heard it. It has a good mix of different styles but somehow it all blends in as a cohesive album.
If you don't have the album Fire On The Mountain I suggest you get that if you have a chance. It may very well be my favorite CDB record.

I actually stumbled upon the saddle tramp lp by accident. It has the picture of the guy on front that looked like a pastel painting or a map pencil drawing that didn't look to me like charlie daniels, but I was just going to get it for the art. You know kinda like a 3 dollar 12X12 picture that has history to it. It wasn't until I opened it up (i thought it was a 2-record set at first) and it had the full 2 foot landscape view of the whole band carrying their saddles and pistols and rifles and it made the find even sweeter! Growing up, radio play only offered the devil went down to georgia. that was basically it! I did have an old cassette tape with (my favorite) "driking my baby goodbye" and other good ones. But saddle tramp and full moon offered ALL new CDB songs to me except for 2. Once again, thats why I'm glad to be a vinyl lover. It just makes my love for music even better! Thanks for the reply, your friend, BluegrassPicker
