if you havent seen the performance on BBC
of u2 live at gastonbury..
its simply spectactular.. bono and co. deliver
as always.. and the band is in top shape delivering
even better than the real thing
the fly
mysterious ways
still havent found
get yer boots on
vertigo
streets have no name
beautiful day
one..
still they play alot from actung baby which is a landmark
album i was lucky enough to experiance when it was released
not ever hearing it and listening to ONE and Mysterious ways
it brings back memories as i bought metallicas black album
the same day..so after listening to entersand man and the
u2 cd for the very first time when it was realesed well the
rest is history....
I just saw U2 in Miami on June 29th. Great show! My buddy and I went to see them in Raleigh, NC in October 2009 and having just released No Line On The Horizon, the setlist leaned heavy towards the new album. This time, they had the same stage set-up but this setlist was more balanced. I was pleasantly surprised to see them come out with 4 straight songs from Achtung Baby.
U2 is playing this weekend at the hippodrome in montreal..
its a race track or horse racing type place..
this morning already the radio stations advising people
not to take cars and to leave them at the 3 or 4 designated
places on the island...
the show got cancelled last summer..and re scheduled..
so the Citys pumping..
the 360 tour DVD is great the set list is amazing and
balanced..i hate when a band plays too much new stuff and
fillers..
my favorite is when they finish with "40"
and also Paul Mcartney coming for 2 return shows by demand
from last august show which i went to and was blown away
by let me roll it and hey jude...
incidently bono at the gastonbury show
sang a line from she loves you and
during where the streets have no name he sings
the line Were a garage band we come from garage land...paying hommage to
the CLASH...
Our show in Miami was one that was rescheduled also. Everyone was really up for it. I also have the 360 DVD and it is pretty much the way we saw them in Raleigh. This was the third time I've seen them - never disappointed!
Saw McCartney back in the early '90's. That guy really puts on a show too!
