Musicstack has the worst shopping cart ever!!I would have bought a million LP`s and CD`s,but thanks to the worst cart in the history of mankind, they only waste my time. Thanks for all those endless hours of searching, but no ordering.Thank god for Ebay!!
I'm open to suggestions as to what can be done to improve it (constructive feedback, more so then just complaints). But being aware there is a problem is the first step, so thank you for mentioning it.
I'm not sure what is so difficult about the shopping cart as there is a "Check Out" button and a "Continue Shopping" button. What am I missing here that is making it so difficult?
With 2.4 million orders having gone through the system, I'm guessing you might be experiencing something that others are not. Mabye something isn't right on your system that is preventing you from being able to check out. I would appreciate more information on the problem(s) you are having when you try to checkout and/or any error messages you might be receiving.
I'm all about wanting to make the shopping cart and checkout as painless possible, i appreciate your feedback.
As a buyer and seller on MusicStack, I have been using the shopping cart for years and find it works very well - as do thousands of other buyers and sellers. With respect, as Dave says, this is likely to be a problem that is unique to your system and if you can post some detailed information about what is happening I'm sure he will be able to help find a fix.
Shopping Cart Is easy as Pie to use In My Opinion. I dont think anything needs to change. Maybe some users need a tutorial on when to you your "Wish List" and when to Use your "Shopping Cart".
Perhaps our friend Mr. Stein is a bit hard to please finicky type of customer? I may have not ordered that much on MusicStack since I have had an account on here, but out of any of the problems that I have experienced, I can honestly say the shopping cart is more than adequate!
The only problem I personally have ever experienced on MusicStack is how at times, it can be like pulling teeth to get your money back from Paypal from certain sellers that assume a sort of lackadaisical attitude toward refunds. What is worse is when you get a seller who has a no money back/return policy, meaning that if you just so happen to get a defective record, you not only take a risk purchasing it, but the seller won't accept any responsibility! And no offense to Mr. Stack, but unfortunately the owner of MusicStack doesn't assume any responsibility for any of the sellers on this site who are irresponsible for their actions! If there were any valid complaint, I think Mr. Stack should be more apt to tighten the grip a little more as far as the rules are concerned in terms of not allowing sellers to have a no money back policy! The reason? Well, if you get a defective record, you can't return it, and getting your money back from Paypal takes at least a week, which can be a pain in the ass!
In the end, I think that a shopping cart should be the least of your worries, when there are much more pressing concerns as to how MusicStack is handled. Again, though, if you have more of a specific problem Mr. Stein as to how things are being ran on this site, it would be great if you would tell us more than just a vague idea?
To be honest, I find the shopping cart thing a little out of the way, and have often overlooked notifications and emails for a day or two... which has often delayed a sale (yes, I know email notifications also come through, but these two can be overlooked).
Sometimes I often thought a 'to do' reminder would be rather cool, I log on and see a 'to do' list, which reminds me, 'you have mail', 'the item you have ordered is available please pay for the dang thing' and other such cabbage.
As a shopping cart and system in itself... I've had no problems.
