Because of the political nature of the lyrics it didn't get much airplay and was (by McCartney's standards) only a minor hit, reaching #16 in the UK charts and #21 on Billboard. You appear to have a standard US stock copy - although issued on Apple, this single came with the shamrock label you describe rather than the usual green apple design.
