Mogul Thrash were a Scottish group known as The Dundee Horns prior to their name change. Not too much is known or is thought about them today, and are quite obscure to most people, except for the most devout record collectors. Roger Ball and Malcolm Duncan later on would make up part of the brass section of the Average White Band(AWB). Bass player, John Wetton, would later go on to join the underground prog/psych legends, Family.

Now for the music..........

During the time of Mogul Thrash's relatively brief existence, they released one self titled album(1971) and a single(1970). Musically on the menu were talking brassy hard edged progressive rock with occasional jazz leanings. Frankly, I personally do own this record and the music is highly professional, well played throughout, with decent vocals and songwriting. However, in order to appreciate this, you have to like heavy progressive jazz rock with brass, otherwise the arrangements may come off as too messy or cluttered for your tastes.

I went to You Tube and found this amazing channel of this person who seems to be a progressive rock collector/enthusiast. The name of his channel is SABUCATULOCO. Here on this post, I am going to provide you links to ALL of the songs below from SABUCATULOCO's You Tube channel, so you will be able to hear the Mogul Thrash album in it's entirety. In fact, you may be able to find some other music on this channel of interest to you.

The following links will be the tracks of each song from the Mogul Thrash album in chronological order. Just use your mouse, right click, then cut and paste into your web browser so that you will be able to hear all 7 tracks:
