He put on a great show, but to be honest a lot of his song choices were more rock then blues and it was a blues festival.......None the less anytime that you can see such a gifted multi-talented artist it is worth it! He played the crazy hand held organ, sax, drums and guitar just not all at once! (lol)
He did Texas Tornado, Frankenstein, Tobacco Road and quite a few other songs.
I saw him with Ringo's All-Starr Band last summer. Musically he's incredible, although his voice sounded... Lacking. Frankenstein was the highlight of that show, and that's saying something.
Crap he did not look a day older then when I saw him 30 years ago with his brother Johnny when they did his Roadwork album with Rick Derringer! They basically played the whole album that evening.
I saw Edgar Winter with Edgar Winter Group about 1973 at an outdoor concert. I saw him at another outdoor show (Charlie Daniels' Volunteer Jam) maybe thirty years later.
