Some years back, my father owned a box set that consisted of various songs from various CBS artists. I haven't been able to determine if it was 3 or 4 LPs, nor if it was CBS artists in general, or EPIC artists specifically. I do know that it was printed around 1972, and two tracks on it were "Long Cool Woman (in a black dress)" by the Hollies and "Hold Your Head Up" by Argent (the long version), which I believe were the last two tracks on one side. If anybody knows the name of this, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks,
Jon.

Hmmm, I do remember my first lp was "Fill your head with Rock" and released in 1972. It was a double gatefold lp and those tracks do look familar. Have a look?

Nope, it's not FILL YOUR HEAD (I've got that one, tho). I've also determined through Trial and error that it isn't SOMETHING ELSE AGAIN or ROCK'S GREATEST HITS, either. It's a bit frustrating that CBS released so many good samplers in that era.

Nope, wasn't a K-Tel record, and wasn't a single LP either. It was definitely a label sampler, from either CBS/Columbia, or Epic (a division of CBS/Columbia). Thanks for the input tho.
