I HAVE A FIRST TIME BUYER THAT PURCHASED AN ELVIS LP. IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER TEN DAYS SINCE THE AVAILABLE /WAITING FORM HAD BEEN SENT. I SENT THE GENTLEMAN BOTH THE STANDARD FORM AND PRIVATE EMAILS ON THE SEVENTH AND TENTH DAYS WITH NO RESULTS. HE HAS NO FEEDBACK HISTORY. HOW DO I LEAVE A FEEDBACK FOR HIM IF THE ITEM HAS NOT SHIPPED. MY FEEDBACK RECORD TELLS ME I CAN ONLY REPLY FEEDBACK TO ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN SHIPPED.AM I MISSING A STEP.----JOE

No, I think you cannot leave feedback in this case because there has been no transaction. One thing you said jumped out at me, though: "first-time buyer". First-time buyers sometimes don't know how things work, so if it is a domestic phone call for you, I suggest you call the buyer. As a seller it's what I routinely do, and often/usually the buyer will perform after some clarification. That can unstick things. I just had a first-time buyer who had not answered my invoice and reminder after 26 days, so I called her. Turns out she wasn't clear on how the process worked; for some reason she thought the record would be sent out to her upon order instead of upon payment. Another thing that has happened to me not infrequently (gotta love that litotes :) ) is that email works to deliver a message but after that you have no way to know if the email was seen or opened. I had a buyer who no longer checked the email he had left in Musicstack, which I uncovered in a phone call. Next, how do you know if as many emails are you care to send go to a spambox? I've had that happen where the buyer never checked their spambox and there were my emails that, while on the phone with me, we went down their spambox emails until they found mine. I've had people quite frankly forget they ordered the item(s). Sometimes people see the email in the inbox but don't know what it is so they just delete it. Also, not everybody checks email 20 times a day like I do :) [I check my Musicstack orders at least that many times, that's why my response time stat is 0.1 days--ok, this is a shameless plug, I realize :)] People may have situations...for example, a recent "non-responsive" client whose name was listed as a reverend turned out to be truck driver by occupation and while on the road for weeks at a time did not access email. He was grateful that I reached out to him and now I'm working on a large order for him. Another lady got very sick after she ordered and was out of commission. Experience has shown me to not assume a lack of response means the buyer is blowing me off.

Hi Joe,

Nope, a call is not in the works then, unlike you have a phone card with some minutes.

IVE RECEIVED A SECOND BUYER SINCE POSTING WHO HAS AGREED TO PURCHASE AN LP FROM ME WITH NO FOLLOW UP. I DID CALL THE WOMAN IN DENVER AS ALFRED SUGGESTED. I LEFT A MESSAGE AFTER HER BUBBLY VOICE MAIL INTRO TO CALL OR EMAIL. THAT WAS 3 DAYS AGO. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THERES NO RECOURSE TOR THE SELLER TO IDENTIFY THEM AS NOT RESPONSIBLE BUYERS. I WOULD THINK ONCE REGISTERED ON MS THERE SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ONES ACTIONS. YOUR INPUT DAVE IF YOU SHOULD READ THIS.-----JOE
