My vinyl finds starting this week are:
Fraction-Moon Blood(Heavy psychedelic rock with a Doors influence from 1971 reissued on Phoenix records.)
James Taylor-Self Titled( original first album from 1969 on the Beatles Apple records label. Good singer songwriter album.)
The Traveling Wilburys-Volume 1(Self explanatory.......A great classic legendary album! No other comment.........)
I will be looking forward to hearing about any of your purchases you would like to share this week...........
And, as always, thank you for your support.

Don't waste your money on cd's, buy vinyl!
Here is a re-post from the first original thread, just in case anyone new may have missed this the first time around:
I am designing this thread to encourage everyone to discuss what their latest music purchases are. This is not just restricted to a specific format like CD, or vinyl. This can be about ANY CD, ANY vinyl, or ANY genre of music that you would like to discuss.
This discussion thread is also not just restricted to purchases on Music Stack either. If you would like to share with all of us what music you purchased at any place other than Music Stack, you can likewise share those too. When you post, share your thoughts, or maybe how the music sounds to you. It can be good, or bad.
I felt the need to create this thread just out of the sheer delight of music for music's sake. I also created this thread to engage everybody in a civil conversation about the music they love, and what it means to them. I just thought it would be fun to explore each others musical tastes. If we perhaps get turned on to something new that we would have never thought of trying before, then the ultimate goal of this thread has served it's purpose.
From time to time, I notice that when new things here get posted, the old posts are relegated to the bottom of this forum's page, eventually ending up on the next page as forgotten. My main goal will be to keep this thread alive as long as I possibly can! I will be re-posting this thread from time to time, ensuring that there will be a place where everyone can come to freely talk about music purchases. May this also encourage more friendships between ourselves in the Music Stack discussions forum.
I would love to hear what any of you have to share concerning your finds. If not Music Stack, then maybe perhaps another place where you found that nice piece you have on your want list, or otherwise.
Any input you would like to contribute will be great! Hope to hear from you all soon!! Thanks guys..........
so here i am and starting off the week with
new purchases...
misfits - collection II
foghat - fool for the city (mobile fidelity press)
black sabbath - hevan and hell rhino reissue
black sabbath - dehuminizer (rhino re-issue)
black sabbath - live (rhino re-issue)
the sabbaths are amazing...i paid only 15.00bucks..each
even live evil double lp only 15 bucks..
heavan and hell is stunning sound..i have the cd for years and the sound is crap..
dehuminizer what a great lp i always thought this was over looked..
theres so many good songs like time machine,I,letters from earth,tv crimes, after all
and it marked the return of Dio..even heavan and hell were playing songs last year from
that album..
the Foghat is very good..the did a descent job on it ..i have the original
and this pressing the did the best they could..the sound is very good..
ive spoke to a few people about the metallica faluire..and all agree they flopped with those..
but aperently the 45rmp 2 lp are good.. and of course if you want the best sound
its the japanesse issues that deliver the metallca that we know and love..
i know some one in my town who has the first issues..
but im sure they are pricey...i know mos japanese pressings are minimum 40.00
usually about 50.00 and the matallica first japan pressings could be about 100.00 because they
are out of print thats the thing beatles,stones..stuff like that are more common
as well as bruce springsteen.. i hear pink floyd is expensive also because theres not many
places in japan pressing them..i know because my dealer goes there and will go in june..
he told me springsteen stuff like that is more produced as where sabbath, metallica and some other artists are harder to come by so the value here can soar out of control..
best bet is to get the japaneese cds..about 30.00 maybey..
i have about 100 japanese pressings and they are the best quality
you should hear the beatles rollover beetoven sounds stunning..
unfortunatley i dont have any metallica pressings but i can get them on japanesse
vyinl or 180gram..i know garage days is 50.00

Yeah Brian, I think those Japanese pressings, as good as they are, to me are overpriced, especially when they are not the originals and I can probably go to an ebay auction to take a chance at winning the original pressings quite possibly for equal or fraction of what it would cost me for the pressings from Japan........
well Vj i bought a lot of stones and beatles Japan pressings
thru e bay direct from japan..
they take about 2 weeks to 4 weeks but in the end they are cheaper than the local stores..
i paid only 20 bucks for some and mint condiotion.. except for love you live and double deluxe
and the beatles red vynil odeon 62-66 they were a bit more but not more than 40 bucks
theyd go for 75 to 100 easy at the local record stores..no japan pressing sells for under 40 bucks
or 50..
and they almost always use the master tapes..the beatles are stunning sound..
well worth it.. and listening to the stones ..mand the pressings have perfect balance and sound..
id say go to ebay and check..i got pink floyds meddle for 35.00 and its about 60.00 at my dealer..
best to make a bid but if it goes high forget it..
it will come around again from another seller..theres music tower and lizzy more
and smile lab those are the best japanesse dealers and not expensive and mint quality..
no scratches or covers banged up..ive been espesially happy with lizzy mores shipping and prices
about 25-30 bucks a pressing and about 2-3 weeks max delivery.. and 20-30 dollars cheaper than
any retail store..
