Has my MusicStack account been hacked?

Chances are it has not. And by following the instructions on this page you can prevent your account from ever being hacked.

First, nothing can take the place of having a secure password. It is the strongest method of keeping hackers out of your account.

For this reason, it is best to keep your password over 8 characters long and use a mix of numbers and letters in your password and not to use simple passwords such as 'music', 'records123', etc.

A good example of a secure password would be: N5c9m7waz

I know it is huge pain to remember such long passwords, but having such a password is a must so as not to have your password guess or broken in a brute force attack (which occur all the time).

To take some of the burden out of remembering your secure passwords, we recommend secure password remembering software such as Roboform . It will do all the work of remembering your passwords (for all your web sites) for you.

But sometimes even having the most secure password isn't enough to keep hackers out if you have a virus, or have been the victim of a phishing attack, or if your user name and password has been stolen by key logging software.

For this reason, we track your last sign in dates and from where these sign ins took place (IP address & location).

If you spot something that looks out of the normal with this information, say for example you live in the UK and you see someone has signed into your account from Estonia, then you most likely have been the victim of having your account hacked.

If this happens, immediately change your password to stop more of your customers data from being stolen and Contact Us right away to let us know so we can investigate.

The need for keeping your account secure is very real. Your customers depend on it and real damage can take place if your customers data gets into the wrong hands.

There are indeed hackers out there and they try to break into MusicStack seller accounts all the time. Luckily most attempts fail, but over the years a few have been successful and some real damage has been done.

Prevent this from happening to you and your customers, make sure your password is strong and also keep a vigilant eye on when you last logged in and the IP addresses/countries of where it was from.

Please also report to us anything that looks strange or odd, or that is different from your normal log in patterns.
