Rocking solidly in a nu-metal-meets-emo sort of way, Trapt's major label debut features anthemic, hook-filled choruses toughened up with growling vocals and distorted guitars. The single, "Headstrong," is already making a fuss at Modern Rock radio, and will undoubtedly pique the curiosity of Nickelback and Papa Roach fans.

On the eve of the release of Trapt's second record, 2005's Someone In Control, guitarist Simon Ormandy talks about the band's musical influences, creative process and NorCal roots. He also touches on the alt metal group's lighter side, including what members do to relax (hint: drive really fast).
