Review
Of all the comebacks of the 1990s, Esquivel's was the least expected. The suave Mexican space age pop maven of the '50s is the lord of his own seriously goofy /goofily serious musical universe. Well titled, Cabaret Manana illustrates Esquivel's knack for keeping things interesting and for matching his advanced musical theories with romantic cartoon wackiness.
