With all their references to lollipops and kaleidoscopes, the Blues Magoos had more in common with the snarling crunch of garage-rock than psychedelia. Ralph Scala's vocals are delivered with a derisive sneer, and the guitars sound like they were found on the ground. But the Magoos wrote great pop songs like "So I'm Wrong And You Are Right" and that's all that matters.
