Adema, a quintet formed by veterans from Bakersfield, California's new-metal scene, take some Tool, a bit of Staind and a drop of Orgy and dress the results up into a shimmering package of radio-friendly commercial potential. Moody, hard and melodic, guitarists Mike Ransom and Tim Fluckey go beyond the genre's generic crunch and offer a creative palette of soaring solos, singing lines and textures.
